Life – A Viewpoint

Four letters…E, F, I, L…and as a whole, they make a word – LIFE. Doesn’t it look like a simple word which leads us through the day-to-day journey of every individual? At first sight, yes it is!
It’s all about everybody’s everyday concern; let that be in the form of thoughts, deeds or some sort of merits and demerits of any particular time instant related to a live being. Someone defines life as joy whereas someone takes it as an opportunity to let the world know about them, after them. In someone’s terms, life is the most serious thing to spend in the world while many exploit life as the most instantaneous and indefinite thing of the nature. They give the logic that no one never really knows about the very next moment of our own life that what it is going to unfold against us?
Every narrator seems to be correct about his point of view regarding life, because the definition of life surely depends upon the reference that the narrator considers while putting his side. It reminds me about the fact regarding the shape of a liquid substance, which is indefinite for sure but not undefined because it acquires the shape according to the vessel in which it is poured. Same is the case with life. If we compare life according to this analogy, then perhaps we could have some broad idea about the existence of true meaning of life in anyone’s sense.
If we meet an artist, he specifies art as his life. The more he explores his art, the more he feels happy and divine. It is regardless of the type of art. That artist may be an actor, a painter or any designer. All try to make their deeds or creations as alive as they can. Same is the case with an author or any poet. For him, life means reading, feeling, writing…and writing…and writing only. The sole purpose of his life gets incorporated in to these activities. If any author writes even a fiction then also he becomes so connected with that as if he himself is a part or character of that fiction. He wishes to weave all his teachings, findings and experiences in that creation. In terms of a traveler, exploiting the territories, exploring the horizon is life. He finds joy only when he is in motion towards his destination, which is nothing but self-satisfaction, the efforts for self-satisfaction if we say more accurately. Similarly a doctor or a scientist devotes all his efforts towards the research. Some player finds soul of his life in his game only.
All this shows that these four letters mean something different for every individual. Some say doing is life while some other says happening is life. Sometimes we hear that following the dreams is life but at some other, we are told that doing without expectations is life. So what to accept and what to deny?
Practically, finding a thin line between the above controversies is LIFE! Life is doing our own part…and happening what is meant to be happened. Chase your dreams but not at the cost of your happiness. So either choose your dreams happily or be happy without any dream and do what you find your life for.

There is no specific or rigid conclusion of what the life is being all about. To be happy is life and to make someone happy is life. To love is life and to be loved is life. Following wisdom is life and making compromises is life. To be determined is life and to compensate is also a life. We love, we are loved, we follow wisdom, we compromise and we compensate. We are the reference and hence the LIFE!!
